Here are a few things to keep you busy: This cabin is conveniently located nearby several attractions, for year-round entertainment. You're sure to find something to interest you. Search some of the links below to help you plan your getaway! If you decide to get driving directions from websites, such as Mapquest.com or Expedia.com, you'll need to enter the cabin's address of 11046 Buffalo Trail, Lead, SD 57754. Favorite Nearby Attractions Terry Peak Ski Resort is only a couple blocks away from the cabin. (Not good at skiing? Don't worry, they have "bunny trails," too.) Take the trolly on Main Street Deadwood to the historic attractions and 80 gaming halls. (Deadwood is only about a 15 minute drive from Home in the Hills.) Home of the Homestake Gold Mine. Take the tour and learn about it's wonderful history. Just a few minutes away. Mount Rushmore is only about 50 miles away! Other Favorite Sites This is a drive-through wildlife park. You pay per car load, and are likely to see animals not available at your local zoo, like buffalo and elk. The Badlands make for a beautiful drive. Visit a mountain carving in progress at the Crazy Horse Memorial. This is a "must-see," especially if you have kids. Plan on staying for a couple hours, at least. Rushmore Cave is about 56 miles away from the cabin. This petting zoo is near Reptile Gardens, a few miles south of Rapid City. Summer fun at a water slide! |
